Every item in our inventory has been inspected, very strictly graded, and bagged for its protection. We developed this grading guide over 25 years ago loosely based on the Comics grading guide. At the time, games were only considered New or Used with no consideration given to the collectible condition of the item.

Notes

Major defects and/or missing components are noted separately in the Condition Notes section. Examples of this are dice are missing, counters punched, handouts are photo copy replacements, rusted staples have bled into the pages, highlighting throughout.7

New – This designation is given to newly released, current in stock items and is as received from our suppliers or the manufacturer.

Mint in Shrink Wrap - Still in the original factory shrink wrap, with condition visible through wrap has no damage.

Near Mint in Shrink Wrap - Still in the original factory shrink wrap, with condition noted as having light corner or edge wear in spots the shrink may have poked through, or a few spine creases. No staple rust should be visible.

Near Mint – Like new with only the slightest wear. May have a few very faint spine creases and very slight corner wear.

Very Good/Near Mint - Lightly used, but almost like new. May show a few minor spine creases and/or slight corner wear. May have some light cover scuffing. Absolutely no tears and no markings. No missing items. If all else looks good, very slight staple rust might drop a NM item into this category.

Very Good – Has been well used. May have medium-sized creases, corner dings, minor tears or scuff marks, small stains, etc. Rusted staples would fall into this category Complete and very useable. This is considered a play copy but still good enough to put into a collection while trying to find a better copy to upgrade.

Below this condition are generally not sold on-line unless it is a very rare item and hard to find in any condition.

Good/Very Good – Will be very well used, has multiple major flaws including heavy staple rust, tearing to pages, significant creases to cover, lots of spine creases. May have some staining to pages, but is generally complete and still usable.

May have some staining to pages, but is generally complete and still usable. Some components such as a map or character sheets may be missing. Would be a play copy, or merely a slot filler for a collection until an upgrade.

Poor – Trashed copy, but may have some redeeming part that could be useful as a component for another copy. Examples would be a good map, the proper character sheets on a product that is often missing them.
